GO! GO! GO!

I'm not going to lie. I have been dreading this soccer season. Mainly because of the heat I have to endure every Saturday and having to sit through soccer practice every week with a baby, and my crazy toddler. And I confess, the competitor in me has a hard time not yelling, "WAKE UP! GET AGGRESSIVE! GO, GO! STOP HER!" at my sweet, non-aggressive little girl. (Ok, I do yell out those things...)
I may be small in stature but I have been always told that dynamite comes in small packages. So, don't mess with me. ;) Naturally, I expect the same from Marisa. But parenthood has its ways to teach me otherwise. And it has been a learning curve for me to sit back and let my children learn and figure things out on their own.
So here we are. Trying out soccer season #2. Marisa loves it and for that I am glad. Plus, she has pink uniforms this year. And I like pink a lot.
So...GO PINK PANTHERS!

first day of school

This is probably the first time while looking through my lens that I didn't recognize my own subjects. Who are these girls? When did they get so big?

Marisa and Natalie are excited to finally attend the same school together.  They both have phenomenal teachers and we are all looking forward to what this school year has in store for us! We were all smiles this morning!

Cara's blessing

If we had to use one word to describe our sweet little Cara it would be, "Peaceful."
Since she has joined our family Tim and I agree that there has been this tangible feeling of peace in our home. Cara has a calming aura about her and has been such a welcome addition.

Tim blessed her at church yesterday with my dad, Luis, my father-in-law, Wayne and Tim's cousin, Jared joining in the circle. We are so grateful for her to be surrounded by our loving family.

While sitting there listening to her Dad give her a special blessing my heart swelled with gratitude for my Heavenly Father for blessing me with and trusting me with four of His sweet spirits. Being a mother has been one of my greatest joys and I hope I can raise these little ones to remain faithful to receive the blessings their Dad has given them all at birth.

Yesterday was indeed a very special day for a very special little lady.
