Marisa had her 9 month check-up this morning. We continue to be blessed with a happy and healthy baby!
Weight:18 pounds 8 ounces 45 percentile
Length: 28 1/4 inches 74 percentile
Head: 18 inches 90 percentile
So basically, Marisa is tall and skinny with a big head...Awkward??? haha Just kidding, she is perfect. I'm sure she will thank her dad later for the big Hart head.
A few other big girl updates: Marisa is an amazing eater. She eats EVERYTHING with no problem. Her favorites are bananas and steamed vegetables. Her favorite snack is Gerber Puffs. All the flavors. Her top FOUR teeth are coming in and one has already broken skin. She crawls on all fours all the time now. Good-bye commando crawl! She stands and walks along anything she can pull herself up with. She can even walk from chair to chair in our dining room! Marisa likes to play peek-a-boo and her favorite book is "How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food?". She will actually sit and watch Seasame Street for awhile in the morning while I get breakfast ready for everybody. She sleeps through the night again. YAY!!! Marisa talks non-stop. She is quite the little jabber. And everytime we go out, somebody always has to stop me to look at her. They can't get over how beautiful she is!!
WE LOVE YOU MARISA!

We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet...
Last night we heard the news that our beloved prophet passed away. I immediately had a peaceful feeling enter my heart because I knew he was reunited with his sweet wife, Marjorie. He must be so happy!
I will deeply miss President Hinckley because he has impacted my life immensely. I will never forget the overwhelming, powerful feeling that came over me when he entered the Conference Center before a session of General Conference. I knew with all my heart at that moment that he truly was a prophet a God. The spirit testified it to me so clearly and boldly.
I will always be grateful for his sense of humor and optimism, but the one thing that I will treasure forever is his perfect example of what an eternal marriage is all about. Not only did he teach me about a happy, healthy, righteous marriage, but he lived it and taught by example. We love you President Hinckley!

Miss Independent
While I was making lunch today, Marisa was sitting on the kitchen floor playing nicely with the tupperware. After I returned to the kitchen from eating my lunch in the living room, I found Marisa like this. And this is how my days are now. I find Marisa getting into things and basically doing whatever she wants because she can now.

Santa Ana Zoo
Grandpa and Grandma Hart took all of the California grandkids to the Santa Ana Zoo today. Marisa had fun looking at the ducks, horses, monkeys, etc. And of course, Marisa loved spending time with her cousins who all love her so much.
Quack Quack!

Happy 9 months!
Happy 9 month Birthday sweetheart!
Well, another month older and more mobile than ever! Marisa loves to stand up now. We can always find Marisa standing somewhere. She pulls herself up using the couch, coffee table, dishwasher door, drawers, chairs, etc. She can even walk along the side of the couch! Marisa is doing a great job balancing, walking, and bringing herself down from standing position. I bet she will be walking pretty soon! Marisa has also starting crawling on all fours but I think she prefers commando crawling still because she can get to her destinations quicker that way. Basically, Marisa can move and get into any position she wants to be in. Marisa also loves music and likes to dance (or should I say bounce) to music. She is really good at sharing and loves handing me "gifts". She likes to read and help me flip the pages. And she loves to clap, wave, and say hi!
As always, Marisa is such a HAPPY baby. Happy is the best word to describe her. We LOVE watching her smile and laugh every day. WE LOVE YOU! KISSES!

Story Time!
Marisa and I went to the library today with some friends of ours for story time. Emma and Marisa love playing with each other and it is so fun getting them together. During story time we read, sang songs, and played with musical instruments to fun music. Marisa's favorite part was playing with the musical instruments. Who doesn't like noise??

Happy New Year!
Well, another great year has come and gone and I am greatly looking forward to what 2008 has in store!
2007 ended with a great laugh for us. We sang High School Musical Karoke at Kari's house, played "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader" (and Sara is not by the way...haha), and watched Marisa eat like this.
Marisa has never done this before.haha I think she was showing off for Uncle Matt who was feeding her.
Also, I have given myself some time to really think about my new year's resolutions and here is my list.
-Every night before going to bed, write down one thing that made me happy that day.
-Learn to be a healthy penny-pincher. (I love shopping and I love new things, but I really want to learn to be creative with money and budgeting without being stingy, a cheap-skate, a free-loader...you get the point.)
-Start on my Food Storage/Emergency Preparedness stuff.
-For one month, no JUICE! AHHH! (I really don't know why I want this as a goal. I think I just want to see if I can do it. And for those of you who don't know, I'm literally obsessed with juice. Gotta have it like a coke addict needs their caffeine.)
-And lastly, LIVE in the moment.
