So I'm sure ya'll have noticed that I have been MIA from the blogging world lately. And there is a good reason too...
We are having a baby!
I went to my first doctor's appointment last Monday and everything looks fine so far! The baby is due sometime between August 6th-10th. I go back in a week for another ultrasound to get a more accurate due date.
So, I surprised Tim on the morning of December 1st with this note and gift when I found out I was pregnant:
We are pretty excited of course, but with a new baby comes the dreaded morning sickness which is irritating and annoying to say the least. This pregnancy is 100 times better than when I was pregnant with Marisa, but I almost hesitate to say that because I don't want to take away the fact that this time around still sucks haha.
I can actually eat this time around and keep food in me for the most part. Instead of throwing up 4-5 times a day it is about 1-2 a day plus having an almost two year old. Smells are still sooo nauseating and I sleep a lot. But, hey, I'll take this over the nightmare of all morning sicknesses that I had with Marisa.
Anyways, hopefully the morning sickness will end soon and I can focus more on actually enjoying being pregnant and being a good mommy for Marisa. We are excited for Marisa to be a big sister even though at first she didn't really understand what was going on. When I told her mommy has a baby in her tummy she just paused, looked at my tummy, lifted up my shirt and said, "Where? Where's baby?" haha Now she points to my tummy says, "Baby!" and then points to herself and says, "Big girl!" haha Maybe once I start to show she will get it more.
