Busy season for Tim has finally died down the past couple of weeks, and to relax from work Tim decided to take this whole week off. And this week is perfect because it is Marisa's first birthday! It is also perfect because I feel like I have been rewarded with PTO (KPMG code for Personal Time Off) because I can go to the gym, go to the mall, take naps, sleep in, etc.
So, this morning while I was at the gym, something amazing happened at home...
Marisa took her first steps!!!
As I walked in through the door. Tim said, "Tanya, watch this." He stood Marisa up and led her to walk toward me and she took a couple of steps. I couldn't believe it! What a great surprise! Tim then told me that she took about 6 steps at one time while I was gone! We kept trying to get her to do it again but she would only take a couple steps at most. She wanted our hands for help again.
Either way, Marisa is taking a few baby steps toward walking! We are so excited to start hearing her feet pitter-pattering around the house!

That's so exciting!! Way to go Marisa!! I hope the car helped her learn to walk.
I can't believe how big she is. It is so excited when babies do new things.
Yes, it's funny how Brigham's day off translates in my day off. Hey, it's a vacation for him to just not be sitting in a chair all day, right? Sometimes I feel guilty about it but then I tell myself, he likes spending time with the kids.
And congrats on Marisa's walking...what a big accomplishment! Now you have a toddler, and no longer a baby. Sad, huh? It's so fun to see them learn new things though.
